Disable hibernation to delete hiberfil.sys? by
Wayne Abruzzo
I have no intentions of using the hibernation feature and would like to
reclaim the 2GB of disk space that the automatically created hiberfil.sys
file consumes. In WinXP and Win2K you could just disable the hibernation
feature and hiberfil.sys just disappeared. Doesn't seem to work the same
way in Vista. Am I missing something? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Wayne

Major backup issues in RC1 that needs to be addressed by
audio
I just download RC1 and checked out the new backups and found some surprising
problems that haven't been addressed as far as I know.
The biggest and most surprising to me is that encrypted files don’t get
backed up. And there is no warning of this. So if you encrypt a folder the
files just get skipped. This is NOT GOOD. As people will think files are
getting backed up when they are not....

Dual Monitor - Resume from Hibernation - Login Bug by
nick
Hey everyone,
Small bug if you don't know about it. If you have dual monitors on a
laptop, and the primary monitor is the external when going into hibernation,
upon resume from hibernation, the only monitor plugged in is blank. The only
thing I can suggest is that upon resuming hibernation (or sleep mode if it
affects it, I haven't checked) is that Vista would check if the external...

Performance rating says I have 64 bit compatible but I'm 32 bit? by
Luke Ewing
What does Microsoft define as 64 bit compatible? I can install 64bit Vista?
My cpu is 64 bit (which to the best of my knowledge is not)? I can replace
cpu with 64bit cpu?
Microsoft tells me this in the "details" section of the performance rating
thing. Why is it telling me this?

Why am I forced into darkness? by
azz0r_wugg
Why bother developing glass and working on letting the user customize the
colors and transparency when your just going to yank it away when a screens
maximized?
Which it alot of the time. I cant even believe there is no option to disable
this happening. Sure you could argue it looks more confusing seeing things
blurred in the bg, I think not, Id like an option.
With my transparency, set how...

JDHB
There was no any problem when I entered the windows vista 5600 the first
time, using the account of "Administrator",but about five minute later ,the
progress "taskmge.exe "takes up the CPU utilization rate about 80%~90%.
All my drives came from the windows vista 5600.And installed all right

hot fixes available for following error signatures by

For the last 3-4 days I have been receiving different error messages as to
why IE has encountered a problem.
After searching the Help section, the Newsgroups, etc. I now see I need to
ask for assistance.
The first question I have is when I see a fix or a thread regarding a
particular error and a sample of the error message is provided does my error
signature, including the offset have...
