Hi all, Just yesterday I had to wipe out my Vista Ultimate installation because of a virus. But I have a backup that I want to restore but the Recovery Console wont load it. I just attempted to drag an old icon on my desktop to the trash bin. Instead of going into the basket, it just moved to a different location on the desktop. When I booted up today, CHKDSK began running, but it freezes every time it gets to 6%. I have shut down and unplugged and restarted several times, but it always freezes there.
