I am connected to the Internet because i can view different websites via Internet Explorer. Everytime i open a program on my computer that requires access to the Internet, it tells me that there is no internet connection. Then it tells me to open Network Diagnostics, and when i do it says that my internet connection is completely fine! Please help!

i have two legitimate programs-Ashare, Asus motherboard utility program -Bda monitor, Hauppage TV tuner program i have to enable them every time i start the computer. they are the latest versions, windows defender and the boot ini seem to say that they are enabled. how do i enable these programs so that they initiate on startup?

Recently purchased widescreen monitor. Per instructions, changed PC resolution to 1680X1050, which is maximum supported by monitor. Most displays now utilize the entire screen, EXCEPT my screen saver, which now displays square pictures, greatly distorted. What am I overlooking?
