I have not had success in backing up single files or a complete backup. I try different RW discs to no avail. It will start to format and then stop and not explain the problem. I want to obviously backup all my files, but right now I need to save them on a disc and use them on another computer. Any help is appreciated! I cannot drag and drop either.

I read on a forum that Vista Defrag corrupts large files. The person posting the message used 64-bit Vista Defrag. (I use 32-bit MS Vista Home Premium.) Has anyone heard of this before? Is this true? Hi all, This isn't a big deal but it can be quite irritating. I have a brand new machine with Windows Vista Business running on it. This is the main machine in the study and has a Belkin router connected to it via a cat5 cable. The rest of the PCS/Laptops in the house run from the routers wireless. I want to disable some of my start-up programs, but when i go into the software explorer, then start-up programs in Windows Defender, the 'remove' 'disable' and 'enable' buttons can't be clicked on (i.e. they have that faded look to them that Windows does).
