How do i reset the restore points so as far as vista is concered no backups have ever been made on this machine, then i can try a restore by saying i made the backup on another pc, its the only way i can think of to let me restore my folder! thnx in adv.

I had a major problem with my installation of Vista Ultimate 64 and had to use my Windows Image backup to reinstall. Since then I occasionally get an error box saying MS DTCconsole has failed, look for a solution or close the program. Needless to say a solution is never found and I close the program. I've noticed recently that system restore has stopped creating the daily restore points. Although, when I install software one is created. I checked "services" and shadow copy is enabled as well as Task Scheduler. Are there any other services that should be enabled for the system checkpoints to be created?
