Error printing to my DBT-320 by
taylor
Hi, I have a D-Link Bluetooth-320 print server that I can't get Vista to talk
to correctly. I can install the printer that is on the server, and get Vista
to recognise that the printer is out there waiting to be used, but each time
I try to print a test page, it asks for a Passkey - which the server does not
require.
Is there a way to install the print server and print to it bypassing or...

Printing via Bluetooth with Null Passkey by
Richard B
I am able to add a bluetooth enabled printer in Vista. The problem is that
the printer does not accept a passkey. I can configure the bluetooth printer
such that passkeys are disabled, but when I attempt to print - unlike XP
where printing without passkeys works fine - in Vista, I am prompted for a
passkey. If I leave the passkey null - Vista rejects the passkey as "invalid
parameter". ...

Point and Pring Issue in VISTA using Build-in Administrator by
VOOHOO
1. Install a printer driver on Windows XP
2. Share this printer
3. Logon another VISTA client via Build-in Administrator
4. Drag this printer from the share printer.
== Vista will pop up an error message that "can't call
print monitor..."
Use standard user is no problem. This maybe a bug of MS.

Canon Scanner & Colour Printer by
Nevio
I am running Windows XP SP2 and planning to upgrade to Vista. The Windows
Upgrade Advisor indicates that for my Canon Lide 80 Scanner & Canon LBP-2410
Colour Printer there could be problems. Does the Vista upgrade intallation
disk come with the correct drivers for the 2 devices?

Fax and Scan error - One or more recipients do not have a fax addr by

I have a client running Vista Business on and SBS 2003 network. He's having
trouble faxing with Vista. He can fax out okay when he picks the recipient

Network Printers Disappear after Restart by
Chen Jia
Hello All,
We have a Vista computer that joined to our domain. We found out that every
time the user restart the computer, all the network printers that had been
added in the previous login are gone. The user has to readd them again.
A different user tried to logon and reproduce the same thing, and got the
same result, so it's not a user profile related issue.
If the user just logoff and...

Cannot add printer if creating local port by
Anuj
Hi,
I am not able to add a printer on a local port.
Actually if I am trying to create a local port and giving
the name as LPT4, an error message is popping up on the
screen saying 'LPT4 is not a valid port number'.
Actually I am having two PCI based parallel port cards
and Windows has assigned them LPT2, LPT3, LPT4 and LPT5.
LPT1 is assigned to Standard on-board Port.

J
Monday Morn
Added Vista Business computer to network.
Moved Brother MFC 8440 to the vista computer from one of the XP comps.
The XP computers can print to the Brother printer.
The two 98 comps can find the printer, load the driver, but cannot print.

Windows Update driver for Samsung ML-2010 is faulty by
JCK
Windows update is trying to install a printer driver for my Samsung ML 2010
but it fails and returns a 800F0233 error. The file direct from Samsung does
the same. According to Microsoft's site at:
https://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/install/drvpkgerrors.mspx
that error code is the fault of Samsung. Does Microsoft not test the drivers
it makes available through Windows Update?

Print Spooler Keeps Crashing by
RickA
The print spooler continually crashes running Vista Business Edition (fully
updated). A user installed a printer from our Win 2K Print server. I am sure
that an XP driver was used. I tried to remove the driver via the Print
Manager, but the spooler service keeps crashing making it impossible to
remove the old drivers via the GUI.
Any help would be appreciated.

Redirect Printer w/Line Command by
Dave T.
We still run an old DOS application that requires a printer redirection to be
able to print. Using the NET USE LPT1: \\SERVER\PRINTER works in XP, but I
cannot get it to work in Vista. It keeps asking for a a user name and
password. I have put the username and password on both computers with admin
rights and continually receive a System Error 5 message. Is Vista security
blocking this?...
