Printing a tif file attachment by
Lisa S
I am trying to print out a TIF attachment within Microsoft Outlook. If I
right click the attachment and select print, it prints landscape. The default
settings on the selected printer are set to portrait. Does anyone have any
suggestions as to why this is happening? Can anyone shed some light on the
matter?!
Thanks

Canon Multi-Func MF5750 ?? by
Craig S
I'm due Vista Home Premium (32) as an HP "Free Upgrade" with new Computer.
Canon says they haven't done anything for the MF5750 Print-Scan-Fax unit (2-3
year old model) and that I should be able to use my original Canon Install
Disk and make it work with Vista. That's not intuitive to my limited
expertise (i.e. may some downloads come from MS rather than Canon to make it
work?) . What are...

HP Scanjet 5550c works with 5590 driver by
romer
HP does not provide a driver for the Scanjet 5550c.
Here the Scanjet 5550c seems to work fine with the 5590 driver on Vista32.
Does this work for anyone else, too?

Looking for a printer option by
Emory Tech
Currently I have a windows 2003 domain setup. I am going to migrate my users
to vista. I was needing to know how do make it so that any user can add their
own printer without them having admin rights? Currently with our Windows XP
setup all my users can do this but in vista it always ask for higher
elevation or an admin to install the printer. Is this something I need to do
on the local...

How do I install a scanner driver for a printer? by
Mark
Hi Everyone,
I've got an HP Laserjet 1220 with the scanner attachment. It installs fine
in Vista Enterprise RTM as a printer, but not as a scanner.
However, I noticed that there is also a Vista scanner driver for the 1220
that includes both the printer and scanner drivers for the 1220.
Is there any way that I can force the printer to use the scanner version of
the Vista driver when the...

My XP can't see the Vista shared printer by
happy
I am running the final version (upgrade) of vista business, and have
installed and shared an HP color laserjet 2500. My Wife wants to print to it
from her XP pc, but the XP can't see the Vista pc. I have tried to turn of
the firewall, without any luck.
It worked when I had my old XP installation - both were in mshome workgroup.

Tip for printing or adding a printer in vista by
Emory Tech
For some reason vista is picky about adding printers, especially networked
printers. In the past week or so I have spent hours working to get a few of
my users printer back working after an upgrade. The main problem is it seems
to freeze up or take excessively long to connect to network printers or copy
drivers from a print server. One trick that I learned is to restart the print
spooler...

Do NOT use Vista by
x1a4
http://badvista.fsf.org/
“Vista is an upsell masquerading as an upgrade. It is an overall
regression when you look at the most important aspect of owning and
using a computer: your control over what it does. Obviously MS Windows
is already proprietary and very restrictive, and *well worth rejecting*.
But the new *'features' in Vista are a Trojan Horse* to smuggle in even
more restrictions....

Manually Changing Printer Drive on Network Pinter by

I have a printer hooked up to an XP machine in another room. I am attempting
to access the printer from another computer with Vista x64.
Vista automatically installed the HP Photosmart 2500 series drivers (it is a

990c drivers on the Vista machine, but the advanced options in the
preferences (after running the prefs...
