HI, I hope someone can help me with this. When I print anything there was a box that usually appeared in the lower right corner telling me the status of the printing job and the ink levels. I see this problem from others but no solution. One even changed printers and still had the problem When I print from word to my Lexmark 5200 it prints blank pages. I can see the document in preview. I reloaded the new Vista 5200 drivers. Printer prints fine in all other modes.

My printer settings are econo-mode (HP P1005, FastRes) and if I print from applications like Acrobat reader, or Paint it actually works. Each time a send a document to the printer, a "cover page" listing the filename, directory, template, title...is printed and then the document prints. If multiple copies are to be printed, each copy has a "cover page" that is printed before the copy is printed. Printing 10 single page documents takes 20 pieces of paper. How do I turn this option off, so that just the document prints?

Printer has been installed on this desktop for 1 1/2 years, no problems. Sent document or test page to printer, printer acts like it is going to print (noises), never pulls paper. Then document is gone from the print queue. Printer is set to spool documents, sharing is set to Everyone. HP diag reports printer is working okay, but still no test page, MS Fix It reports printer working okay....
