Auto LogOff after Inactivity by
VinnyL
I am trying to find a solution that will auto log-off a user on Vista not
connect to a domain after inactivity. I know that winexit.scr worked on XP
and I tried it on Vista but it gives me a Registry error on executing and
setting the settings.
Also, tried LogonExpert but that doesn't seem to have the option to logoff
after inactivity - only logoff at specified time.
Are there any other...

Diagnostic Policy Service by
Jacota
Is there any way to reinstall the administrative tools without having to
reinstall Vista? I had a Trojan and now I have some services that I
can't start.
The Diagnostic Policy Service will not start either automatic or
manual.
There are a couple more not working but the diagnostic is the most
important. Any help would be appreciated.

How do I disable standard user from changing password? by
shood
I'm using Vista Home Premium.
I know that there is no Local Users and Groups folder in Computer
Management.
I am the administrator, and I want to disable a standard user's ability
to change their password. In other words, I want to have access to this
user's account when I need--I want them to be able to be password
protected, but I don't want them to be able to change this password once
they...

How to make a standard profile w/ Default User by
Michelle
I am trying to determine how to make a default user profile in Vista like we
could do in XP.
After reading several posts, I have found where we can copy the profiles
over but most mention another step in the registery and one person stated
this was not a good idea.
Can someone spell out how to completely set up a default user profile after
we have it setup as the administrator account?

Win98se network password by
Gary[_16_]
Have a network between Win98se and Vista machines. Can access the Win 98
from vista but no the Vista from Win98se.
When clicking on the vista network icon in the Win98se I get a request for a
password!
Is this a password in Win98se or in Vista?
How can I recover the password?

Display Settings by
kkaralee
I have Home Premium 32. All of a sudden, starting last week sometime, I
started having to reset my display aspect every time I do a restart.
NEVER have had this problem before? It seems to be not saving my
settings. Any suggestions? Hopefully not too technical? Thanks.

Cannot log onto Admin Profile by
Marie
Hi there.
I have 2 profiles on my computer, one is the main admin profile, that me and
my partner use on an everyday basis, and the other was one we set up for a
friend to use while house sitting, and this is NOT an admin profile.
Yesterday, my partner tried to log onto our profile, entered the correct
password, and got the message that the user profile cannot be loaded, or
something to...

User Account Unaccessable by

error messages. The first one counts down for 30 seconds or
so, and is then replaced by the second one which also...

I currently have an administrator account I'll call AAA.

ignored for this post.)
On account AAA I have done extensive personalization
(changing icons, removing some from desktop, etc.) which I
want to retain. Account BBB is just as...
