Hello all Recently I've got a laptop wich came with WIndos Vista HOme Premium installed. I decided to put a Password in my administrator account, but I've forgotten it...And there is no other open account, just the administrator one of wich I've lost the password - I didn't create a pssword reset disk. Hi, I have clicked "Remember My ID and Password" nut my system appears to be very arbitrary in remembering the User ID and / or the Password. I thought I had checked all the correct boxes but it very arbitrary in what it remembers and what it doesn't remember. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

i went away and so i locked one of my disk drives and also locked my user account so that a guest user wouldn't have access to any of my stuff. Now i came back and tried to log into my account and it wont let me so i went into guest user and tried to unlock from there but its saying system file cant be found. My password is working because some programs asked me for authorization and it worked...

I turned off the UAC and now I get a nag to turn it back on every time I boot. I also get nags for defender and calendar after a Microsoft update was installed. How do I get rid of these constant reminders??
