I Use in my domain server based userprofiles. No problem with Windows XP, it works well. But with Vista I've get always a message, that the server based userprofile could not be found. In the eventlog on the Vista-machine I got a message with teh even-ID 1521, access denied. And in the security-event-log on der server 2003 I got a message with the event-ID 675, failed...

This is in Vista Beta 2 August. While trying to compile a COM dll from VB6 to C:\Program Files\Common Files\CompanyName, I got the 'Microsoft Visual Basic caption - Permission denied. I kept being told I needed a 'TrustedInstaller' when I tried to delete things etc. Suddenly the solution dawned on me. I created a new user with the name TrustedInstaller as an adminstrator. Now I can do all those things that were barred before. C'est la vie! Colin
