The subject says it all, I think. My machine has three accounts; admin, main user, guest user. When the machine starts I do not want the admin acct to be visible to the main and user accts from the welcome screen. I didn't see an obvious way to do this but surely there must be. Advice? chocobot

How do I go about removing icons from individual users desktops. When I try to remove an icon from my desktop it also removes it from other users when I only want to remove it from mine. I am using Windows Vista with service pack 1. Thanks in advance.

Hi, can anyone help, I was updating my Ipod and Safari downloaded, I went to uninstall and the message is" The system administrator has set policiesto prevent this installation." I recently reset my wireless router cause i was having problems with the internet. now the router is back to factory settings but its locked so i cant access it from my laptop because of this. when i type my IP into the address bar a login screen comes up but it wont let me use admin or my user login information. Hey, I've recently made a new account and made that the admin account whilst changing the current one to a standard account. There was a password and everything. But everytime I restart or log off, only the standard account shows up on the welcome screen. The new account is no where to be seen. And when I try to meddle with the account settings again, it won't accept my admin password....

When i start my computer it goes very slow, then when it says welcome, appear a message telling me about the problem it says: "The User Profile Service service cannot log on". Hi Sorry for such a dumb question. Have a uac popup asking for admin password to run autostart program in a limited account.
