How to suppress Admin acct from welcome screen by
chocobot
The subject says it all, I think. My machine has three accounts; admin, main
user, guest user. When the machine starts I do not want the admin acct to be
visible to the main and user accts from the welcome screen. I didn't see an
obvious way to do this but surely there must be. Advice?

JTL
i have a VB6 application that periodically checks for version updates on our
servers over the internet. if a new version is found, it is downloaded to
the %temp% directory on the client's machine, and the current process is
stopped while the new executable is copied into the program files directory
overwriting the old version. the application is then started up again.
this all works fine on XP...

I'm running Vista Business SP1. I'm the only one with physical access to
my system, but I need to keep files secure from the internet which is
always on.
I set up two accounts, one with administrator privelages and password
and one user account. I work under the user account and use the
administrator password when I need elevated privelages. While it can be
a hassle to type in the password, I've...

user permissions from local computer to network share by
sjteters@comcast.net
Looking for some suggestions regarding network shares. One program, (business
app), requires the logged user to have both the network user and the same
local computer user to have admin privileges, in XP this works ok, you can
see both the local user and the network user in the share permissions,
however in vista ultimate, I can't add the local user to the network share.
Help!
