I recently saved word documents to disc. It saved properly. Now I cannot access the file from the disc because the original file/shortcut was deleted from my computer. Can someone please help me so that I don't lose all my documents.

I realize this question has been asked in many different ways, but I still don't see an answer that works. When viewing your files/folders in any program or in Windows XP or Vista. When you select a view from the View Menu (like List), it is only temporary, it always reverts back. How do you change the DEFAULT view choice to always display your files/folders as you want to see them?

When I try to use the Search function in Explorer (search C:\), it almost consistently fails to find the file, yet when I do a manual search, the file is there in all it's glory. I've checked spellings, used wildcards, etc., but still Explorer fails to find the files. Any ideas? This is frustrating....:sarc: -- bistro

When i plug in the usb it flashes up 'removeable disc' and a drive letter but it vanishes straight away, when i pull the usb out it flashes up again and then vanishes. While its plugged in I can't find it on any searches?

When I search for all my Word documents, 478 results appear, but I only have 239. Each real file has a paired search result that is from an old file location.
