This hidden dir has appeared on the root of the volume on which I installed Vista 5744. I only found it because I changed the default Explorer setting to show hidden files and folders. I assume with a name like that I can delete it, but if that's the case, why is it made hidden so that it wouldn't normally be seen? Nick Payne

Ok, I have searched the Internet to no avail. Also I have searched these forums to no avail. Under windows XP, I could move the entire "My Documents" folder and have it point to a different location. I noted that some folders are not visible in Windows Explorer, i.e C:\UsersprofilenameAppData. Also, it appears registered file types do not have their file extensions displayed. Is there a way to re-enable these options? JW

I have found that some files are hidden, and like to stay hidden. For those using E-mule, you will find your "incoming" folder won't show in Vista. I don't know how to show hidden files in Vista, so I just re-routed my downloads to "downloads" in my documents.. My question is if there is a way to make these files appear, or change the settings?

I also find the new folder view less easy to see at a glance what level/folder you are viewing... Levels should be indented more. Mark.
