1 day after installation of Vista, the list of programs used on the Start Menu have all disapeared, checking and unchecking the options does nothin, once a program has been used it does not appear in the menu. THe recycle bin disapeared at the same time, not sure if this is related.

How do I search for an item in a file in a folder? In other words, like the search mechanism in WinXP There dosen't seem to be a method to fiind an item in a file in a folder of files. Have I missed something?

So far everytime I copy a file whether it be locally or from a network location, the files copy, then it pops up with a window asking if I want to overwrite the files.. the files are already there; it's like Windows is trying to copy it again..
