I'm trying to install a game 'Seven Games of the Soul' and when the setup file is run, i get an error message stating that it is unable to copy files to c:\windows\temp\. I've tried altering the folder permissions but nothing seems to have worked. Any ideas. I've even tried compatability mode and running as an adminastrator. Thanks

I have found a lot of my games from pre vista take an extremely long time to install. BF2 for instance took nearly 25 mins to completely install. This is on a Dell dimension xps Gen 4. 3.60 Ghz processor, 2 GiG of Ram, and a 260 gig HDD. Has anyone had similar experiences with this problem?

others say quake iv works fine yes it runs after instlaling v 1.3 but even after going in and setting to smp mode (I have a pentium d 915) it still takes about 10 minutes to start up.. that is unacceptable.. same graphics card as under xp (6600gt) with nvidia latest 9965 vista drivers.. starts up in under a minute 10 minutes is too long to make it playable..

anybody have any idea why since installing Vista RC1 the included games seem to have disappeared, solitaire minesweeper etc. I have updated ,Installed pc-cillin but uninstalled it because of problems. the games seem to have disappeared?

I can't get Quake 4 to work with any Vista build. When it errors out, Microsoft claims that Activision has a patch. I go to Activision, id Software and the Quake 4 site. But no stinking patch. Anyone have any ideas? Jim

Vista RC2 x86 installed Nvidia drivers for my GeForce 6800 (V96.77) which do not show up under installed programs in Vista. I have tried running Horizons: Empire of Istaria under Vista. Run great under 5384, 5600, and 5728. It crashes at startup under 5744 with a fault in msvcrt.dll. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get the game running under 5744?
