i just bought this computer and it came wit vista now i cant get any games to run all i get is a message. no compatible direct3D found could someone give me a link to a patch so i can make this work?

Does any one know if Vista HOme Premium will install AoE2. Initially new Acer Laptop halts during install at 4%. tried 4 times and had to use task mgr. to exit. Tred install on XP computer to verify CD disk integrity and installs and Plays perfectly. Now inserting AoE2 cd in Acer Laptop I get error applet "E:\ File system error. (-1073741502)

Is cleaning out a bunch of old games, was throwing them out, then some whining kid came and said he wanted them.. sure wth. then i was sorthing out some more. and found a old time favorite Turok 2. hehe had a go,, installed and run, it popped with a error. but ran anyway.. lol Had to choose gfx card from a list of 1000000's lol Settings 8mb + :p yes.. I just bought a new computer that came with vista installed. I got it to better support my gaming habit as my old one didn't have enough memory and was getting slow. problem is vista won't run most of my games, the ones it does run, it doesn't recognize a lot of objects in, or won't run the expansions. does anyone know how I can fix this?

SO when i play halo for the PC it works fine and everything, except when i try to exit out or someone else closes the game, it freezes....

Just loaded Vista Ultimate 32 bit and when I try to join a ranked server in BF2 I get booted because punkbuster has inadequate operating system privileges. Does anyone know the work around? I tried turning off the firewall and running in compatibility mode (win xp) but it does not help.
