Default WMV-HD files from microsoft has no video

I've just got windows vista RC1 installed and was trying to play those WMV-HD
files off of the windowsmedia HD demo site. Specifically I tried the amazon
and step into liquid videos. The files play with sound but no video!! Whats
going on?
I have a AGP Nvidia 7600GS video card using the default drivers off the
windows install, connected to a LCD using DVI. The nvidia drivers 96.33 has
artifacts on the screen for some reason.

I saw one instance of this issue somewhere on another forum. Anyone else
have this issue? Any fixes???

With RC1 you shoud be uisng the NVIDIA 94.33 Vista drivers which are
probably newer then the ones that came with the release. Can you play MPEG3
files such as DVDs without problem..
The Default Free Decoder with Vista has MPEG2 in its name so there it
probably does not hancdle WMV files.

Also,
Are you trying to play the WMV files in Media Ceter or in Medi player?
