Default Windows Media Player and DivX/Xvid/Mpeg4 playback issues.

hi,

I m testing on Windows Vista RC1 - build 5600.

My system Config
AMD Athlon 2600+,
1 GB RAM,
Nvidia GeForce FX5200 (128MB DDR)

I have divX encoded movies which is running perfectly well in windows XP. I
installed DivX 6.3 (latest) Codec on Windows Vista. There was no problem with
installation.

Playback condition : Vista Aero Theme ON.

When Aero is enabled and when i tried to play the file in full screen mode
there is loss of frame rate ie. the video is very slow but audio is running
normally.

I tried with Aero OFF. In this case the windows media player functions well
but stops in middle and resumes.

When i do the playback with DivX player the windows performace adivisor
turns off AERO. and plays the DivX perfectly well.

Also when i did playback with windows media center the playback was
perfectly well.

I persume that windows media player should contain optimization for the
utilization of Graphics system. Or there should be an option to say .. "TURN
OFF AERO in FULL SCREEN MODE".

I would like to get suggestions.

thanks and regards

Barath.
