Default Removing misnamed computer from networked connections

I missed named my Vista computer and then changed it using System. The
misnamed computer still shows up in "Neightwork Neiberhood". How can I
remove the useless computer from Vista and there I guess Windows 2000 to
which I am networked through a common router? Very annoying and if I try to
access the non-existing computer to delete it Vista blue screens.
