You should be using the software from Epson, not the Add Printer Wizard and
only connect the printer to the PC when the software asks you to do so.

Do your USB ports work with other hardware devices?

You have a LPT/COM port on a Epson 7450 ??
I have the same hardware, but only with a USB port..

There are no problems to install the Drivers, and it's works well and
simply..

But this printer is noisy, and use very muck ink.

ok hear is an update,i have re-installed this printer with the disk
supplied, and i get the same problems
what seems to be happening is in device manager the printer is
installing under unknown device and has warning triangle at the side ive
tried updating driver atc etc,

shouldnt this device if it is connected via usb
be under usb controllers

any advice on getting it to that stage

i feel that im nearly there if i can get the usb controllers to pick
this up

thanx
