Can't unblock an executable copied from another system
I have two problems running an executable copied from another system:
1. I get a security warning: "The publisher could not be verified...". I clear the check mark next to "Always ask before opening this file", and hit "Run". The next time I start the same program, the same way, I get the same warning - with the check mark next to "Always ask..." set again. Hello, I just cleared the thing a few moments ago... 2. In an effort to get around the above, I right click, Properties. At the bottom of the General tab it says "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer". I click on "Unblock" and then "OK". Immediately I right click, Properties, and guess what, it's still blocked. Hello, I just unblocked it a few moments ago... Putting security in is fine, but please pay attention to me when I turn things off... |
