Not able to extend c: volume
I am using in vista premium & i decided to dual boot ubuntu but accidently
the partition was such that windows was left with only 35 gb of hard disk & rest of 200 gb was with ubuntu.......... So i decided to recover windows with the help of recovery disk on my hard disk.... I then created new disks with the space left in disk management option but i am unable to increase the volume of c drive.......... now i am left with a 10.3 gb recovery drive which i cant delete............a 25.2 gb c drive which i cant extend....& a simple new deive of 197 gb which is a waste...... i really need to increase space of c drive without deleting my recovery disk drive...... |

Not able to extend c: volume
Hi,
Did you delete the 197GB volume yet? You can only expand if it's listed as free (unallocated) space. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "gurveen" wrote in message ... Not able to extend c: volume
Hi,
Viewed from Disk manager, where is the free space in relation to C:? To expand, the free space must be immediately after it, otherwise you'll need to use a third party tool to slide the volumes into position. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "gurveen" wrote in message ...
