digital camera not recognized as imaging device
hello all. I have vista home edition and a new canon powershot A590 IS. when
I first bought it I put in the CD for the software and installed it...then plugged in the camera to the USB port and the driver installed and device manager recognized it as an imaging device. It worked perfectly fine for about 3 weeks. then one day I plugged the camera in and vista could not install the driver and the device manager keeps recognizing the camera as a portable device, not an imaging device. I am an ametuer when it comes to configuration and such....and I have tried everything....including going thru every possible fix that was given to me by Canon techies on the phone for an hour....they finally told me that it was my op system's problem because it was not recognizing my camera as an imaging device.....no kidding!....I love this camera and I am at a loss as to what to do next.....the error code is CODE 10 ......any suggestions?????? I could sure use the help. thanks. |
