Default Print Alignments

Everytime i try to align my ink, the alignment page prints out fine, but
then it stops there. theres supposed to be a window that asks you
questions like choose the darkest square, etc, etc but it never shows
up. now my color ink shows up as empty and i can only print out things
in black and white and everytime i print something out the alignment
prints out first. help?

What printer model? For most printers the alignment will fail if both color
and black inks are not printing properly.

Your printer may not be reporting its status correctly. Purchase a better
printer..

Is this a genuine from the maker's cartridge or a refill -- some makes
ignore refills by third parties.

If it is a new maker's cartridge take it back to the store you bought
it from since they should be used to replacing defective cartridges.
