Memory Parity Error
"NNI Error, Memory Parity Error, The system has halted"
Every time I resume from hibernation, I get this halt message. I have already run the memory diagnostic to no avail. Any ideas? I'm getting ready to contact Dell support about this, but I thought I would check here first. Memory Parity Error
NNI Error Network to Network Interface. What NIC/LAN/WLAN ? When did this start happening? -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-) Batteries not included. Memory Parity Error
IRQ2 as I recall? I think I remember this
also happening if a card (say, video) was not quite seated in its slot (IRQ lines are on the slot pins). Easy enough to try - remove and re-insert any adapters. RF [Tue, 19 Dec 2006 23:30:39 -0600]: Every time I resume from hibernation, I get this halt message. I have already run the memory diagnostic to no avail. Most memory today doesn't do parity checking so that's probably off the list. That it only happens from a resume, ... well, the re-seat is too easy not to do. -- 40th Floor - Software @ http://40th.com/ iPlay : the ultimate audio player for mobiles mp3,mp4,m4a,aac,ogg,wma,flac,wav, play+record parametric eq, xfeed, reverb; all on a mobile |

Memory Parity Error
Well, it is a laptop. I'll try to reinstall the memory, but the rest is
rather hidden. I still have 2 years left on the warantee, so if this doesn't help, I'll just contact Dell. Let's just hope it doesn't burst into flames before then -- /* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Robert Firth * * Windows Vista x86 RTM * * http://www.WinVistaInfo.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * */ wrote in message ... Memory Parity Error
I tried the diagnostics and installing different memory. No go. I contacted
Dell, they are sending out a technician in the next couple days to replace the motherboard. This should be interesting. -- /* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Robert Firth * * Windows Vista x86 RTM * * http://www.WinVistaInfo.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * */ "Robert Firth" wrote in message ...
