Surround sound for Intel DP35DP mobo, Vista x64
I've been trying without success to get surround sound to work with the onboard audio for the Intel DP35DP board ever since installing Vista SP1. This board uses the infamous Sigmatel Audio, the driver for which apparently hasn't been updated since May, 2008. All I get is sound from the two front speakers, nothing from the center speaker, subwoofer, or rear speakers. I have both the IDT control panel and the Vista control panel set to 5.1 sound. Anybody else have similar problems or, even better, a solution? Failing that, recommendations for a 5.1 sound card that works properly with Vista x64? Thnks! -- scandib |
