Ati readon 92000 = no vista drivers :(
Not much, sorry. If the manufacturer chooses not to support your device in
Vista there's not much else to do. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] * NEW! Ati readon 92000 = no vista drivers :(
Hi,
Get a new VC or go without, this isn't a driver problem, it's a hardware issue. Vista requires Dx9 capabilities and pixel shader 2.0. The 9200 supports only Dx8.1 and pixel shader 1.4. I originally had the 9200 but, of course, it doesn't support Aero so i only
got the basic display. As Rick say's it isn't a driver problem the 9200 simply doesn't support vista's advanced graphics. If you are not bothered about Aero etc stick with the card you have. If you want Aero (assuming you are running the right supported version of Vista) then by all means buy another graphics card. I am not a gamer and, because my machine is just over two years old and ready for replacement i didn't want to go overboard with an expensive video card, so i went for the ATI Radeon 9550. The box say's 8x AGP. My system board is 4x AGP, but the card works fine. It does what i ask it to do, so i have no complaints. -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows Shell/User Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is".
