Default what is multi color light for on mobo?

case manufacturer did not install a 50 cent speaker so don't hear any
beeps on POST.

the mobo has a very pretty set of led lights ranging from red - that
light up when power is turned on but they all stay lit, no flashing or
sequence, then they all go off when the computer posts/boots.

so do they have a purpose?

Should be in your owner's manual. What motherboard do you have? Red ones
usually aren't good.

Most mother boards do not supply the speaker but instead supply a connection
where you plug in the speaker that comes with your case.

Helllo Msongs,

I have a Gigabyte motherboard as well. For me, it is the V_Phase LED
lights indicating the CPU loading. The higher (red) the CPU loading, the
more number of lighted LEDs.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
