Default Problem In Vista

Hi

Im not sure If this is the correct group to post to?

I have a laptop which has Vista Basic installed. For the last few weeks I
have been getting a message on a blue screen saying: "dumping Physical
memory". then when it restarts, it seems ok?

Now the last week or so, I cannot connect to the internet. I use a Vodafone
Usb Modem, which worked on my laptop for months, and now it says:
"connection error, the modem (or other connecting devise) is already in use
or is not configured properly"

I have reinstalled the modem and its software many times, and it still gives
the same message?

Someone suggested to me that i reset my laptop to factory settings, but It
wont do that, as I never created a backup disk when I purchased the laptop.

Please help

Thank you

Melissa

Default Problem In Vista

Contact your laptop manufacturer to get a set of restore discs.
