Huh, my Original Audigy connected to my Asus A8N-SLI Premium isn't quite as

I tried the 12th Jan Drivers, and to my surprise they seem to work - 2.1 at
least.

I'm not so sure whether EAX 4 works or any of the finer features, but at
least I'm getting sound out.

"Legacy" EAX will not be supported in Vista, only OpenAL. Which I kind of
like, should make the sound card market more like the video card market. All
devices will aspire to support the same standard, you'll make your choice
based on audio fadelity and performance impact on the system.

Be aware too that Creative drivers, to date, do not support the software
utils bundled with the card. (See the release notes for the driver at
the Creative site.) Whether they ever will remains to be seen.
