how to set up 2 floppy drives in vista unlitmate 32 bit version
yes i have an older p4 computer i just upgraded to run win vista and i have an asus p4b with a 1.6ghz northwood p4 cpu and i have 2 floppy drives installed but when i boot up only one floppy drive powers up both i have them both hooked up to the same ribbon cable i have a floppy ribbon cable set up for 2 floppy drives does floppy drives have jumpers like hard drives and dvd drives do? what do i need to do to get them both the power up when i boot up and one be floppy a and one be floppy b ? can any one help me out please thank you -- kcak47mopr |

Install the drive (which I gather you've already done) then enter BIOS setup and configure both drives. If the hardware is OK and you get the configuration right, they'll show up in Computer as you'd expect. - Bill |

I do have a simulated Altair (CP/M 2.2, 3.x, MP/M 2, MDOS, and a few others) running on my Vista system, along with numerous Virtual PC installations (XP, ME, MS-DOS 6.22, Oberon, Warp 3). |

i don't have a 5.25 inch floppy drive i havent never had one like that the last time i even used one was when i was in middle school i have 2 3.5 inch floppy drives with an univerisal floppy cable that has the conections for both kinds of floppy drives can one of you look up my moutherboards bios and see if maybe i need to update them and if a update is avaible because when i go to my bios i don't see whare to set up the second floppy drive it is an asus p4b that is the model number p4b i have tryed every thing guys i know both floppys work if i hook them up one at a tme -- kcak47mopr |
