Not able to delete Gadgets (calendar)

Not sure if my kiddos did it or what happened.... but, there are several
occurrences of the calendar Gadget on the dock and every time I try to
delete one my pc freezes. Not only that, but they won't delete. I can add
a gadget, but can't delete it.
