Slow booting - where to look?
I recently replace a failing hard drive in an HP laptop. I had good
partition image backups, so I restored the system to the new drive and all was well. ...except that now the system takes far longer to quiet down when it boots before I can do anything with it. I have updated everything - the new drive is the same brand as the old one, but a newer model so there were some driver updates, but that's about all. Any suggestions for where to look? I've examined the various logs and don't see anything obvious. There is not a slew of errors or anything of that sort. TIA, Jason |
