Default Media Related STOP error 0x00000050 crash

Hi All,

I have Ultimate RTM installed on my laptop running a GeForce Go 7600
graphics card and am getting a blue screen of death (BSOD) whenever I attempt
to run any media related application (such as media center, media player, MS
games such as Chess Titans, Texas Hol'em etc).

The Stop i am receiving (I had to disable automatic restart in vista to read
the blue screen error) is STOP error 0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
in an nvidia file "nv_mini.sys" @ address 8989FAB8.

I have tried many diferant versions of the nvidia Forceware graphics drivers
including:
84.63
97.46
100.40

but all have resulted in the exact same behavior. Blue screen appears
immediately after attempting to run any media related application. This has
stopped me from being able to enable aero as I cannot run the MS Performance
Assensment tool to update my performance experience index.

Very annoying.. Does anyone have any advice on how I might obtain graphics
drivers that will work on my Geforce Go series 7 card with crashing??

thanks

David
