Until NVIDIA has made all of the driver changes they need to in order to
take adavantage of the graphic performace and image quality improvements
that are now available in VISTA and supportw the 5xxx series cards as well
as the 6xxx, 7xxx and 8xxx generation of cards with these improvements and
with full functinality that was available in the RTM drivers some of us may
have to suffer from a lower performace rating with drivers that meet all of
our functinal requirements.

I

i was using the Microsoft drivers included with Vista which appeard as:

NVIDIA Geforce FX 5600XT (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)

Then i used the drivers from nvidia in the link you posted

using the Microsoft drivers the cards rating was 3.0 and when i used the
Nvidia drivers it went down to 2.8

thanks mike for your fast reply,
i guess you are also waitting for Nvidia to release better drivers!
atleast you have a better rating than i did (my rating was 2.2 graphics
and 2.0 overall on both vista and nvidia drivers)so i just un-installed vista
and loaded win xp 64-bit and everything works/runs fine. might do a dual-boot
if i cant be bothered to learn how, lol.
its a shame that microsoft bring out a new operating system and its not
ready to be used because of driver issues, its not like it was five years in
the making or anything,lol.
well, good luck to you and thanks again for responce.
