Default Can't Run Old DOS Game

Hi. Trying to run Leisure Suit Larry 1 but I get the error:
'System does not support full screen mode'.
Didn't have problems with XP.

Any help will be appreciated.

Try right clicking and properties. Then click Compatibility tab. You can
select Windows XP SP2 to install.

Yes, either you need different driver (XDDM based)
for full screen mode or try to use DOSBox:

I wonder if it will run in a Virtual PC? You'll need an operating system to
install in the Virtual PC session, though. Try this page:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/default.mspx

I don't know if you can still get into the Virtual PC 2007 Beta, but with a
DOS game, it might not be necessary.

Good idea. DOSBox is a great emulator. Haven't tried it in Vista, yet. But,
that would run LL1 fine. (Just be sure to remove the condom after the hooker
at the beginning of the game. Otherwise, the cop gets ya! Love that
game!)

I downloaded and installed DosBox and downloaded
and installed what I believe to be the appropriate Java runtime.
Problem is you need to integrate it into the Send To Folder which
is fine but all the Send To Folders I can find are inaccessable. I've
tried changinf the security settings for the Send To folder(s) but
it won't allow me to do so.
Very much considering removing Vista and going back to XP.

DosBox also tells me that my version of Java isn't correct. It claims
it requires 1.5 or higher to run but it appears I have 6.0

Any Ideas

You're right. VPC 2007 is the best solution for running DOS programs
under Vista in a true DOS environment. VPC 2007 is free (currently RC
status) and you can pick up a copy of DOS on eBay for a few bucks.
