Default Vista freeze with Core 2 Extreme QX6700

Hi! My system freezes/locks up every time i run Microsoft Windows Vista
Ultimate 32-bit fullversion, sometimes i can run vista for about 1-3 minutes
before it locks/freezez up and i have to press the reset button.
The system will freeze even if I startup Vista and dont do anything, so its
no particular program or event that causes the freeze, just random.
If run Vista in SAFE MODE its stabile and i can run it without any freezes
or problems.

My system:
Shuttle SD37P2 V2 Intel 975X/ICH7R with latest BIOS (sd37s204)
Western Digital Raptor 74Gb SATA
Corsair TWIN2X1024-5400C4PRO (2x1GB)
Powercolor X850XT Platinum Edition PCI-E

I have tried updating evrything in my system, i have tried different
harddrives, graphics card and memory and using 1 stick of memory and got the
same result. In BIOS I have tried turning USB, IDE, firewire etc. On and OFF
but no result, but when i tried a different CPU (Intel Pentium 4 640) the
system runs fine and stabile!?

Hoping for a solution so i can use my new computer with my Core 2 Extreme CPU.

Regards
Anders
