I have Vista Home Premium, an HP a1440n pc and now my internal LightScribe
burner that came with it does not work, it won't recognize any blank media
when I try to burn anything. It thinks the drive is empty. Are there any
burners out there that are working with Vista? I'm thinking of just going
and buying a new one to hold me over till HP puts out a new driver/firmware
update for mine. Brand and model number please, and thanks in advance for
any help.

I have a NEC 3550a that works fine with Vista Business. I did buy Ashampoo
DVD burner software as Vista software is sorely lacking.

Sony DRU-700A works like a charm.

Did you download and install the Vista updates form the HP website?

I have IOMagic IDVD168DL. WOrks fine for reading and writing CDs and DVDs
within Vista but can't seem to burn DVDs within Media Center. I suspect that
when Lite-On provides newer Vista driver (SHW-160P6S currently rev PS-0B)
this will be resolved.
