Problem with Audio Buzzing
I installed Windows Vista on my primary work machine, and it's done well so
far. Except for one thing. I have an intermittent problem where anything I do audio wise (Windows sound, mp3 file, wav file) generates a buzz in addition to the actual sound I'm trying to play. The particularly maddening thing is that this did not happen on the same computer when I was using XP on it - it's gotta be a Vista specific issue. I was able to stop it once, but then I got a recent Windows Update installed, and now the buzz is back. I also cannot remember what I did to stop the buzzing. Has anyone run into this? I _think_ it was related to two sound programs/services/whatever running at the same time, but I cannot find where that is still happening. Anyone have any guidance? Thanks. |

Problem with Audio Buzzing
Are you using on-board sound (i.e. Realtek AC-97)? If so, try getting the
latest driver(s). I had similar problems on my HP Pavillion, and that seemed to fix it. "Joe Siegler" wrote: I installed Windows Vista on my primary work machine, and it's done well so far.
