Default Scanner compatibility

Windows Vista wouldn't work with my old scanner, or so they told me at tech
support, so I bought a new HP ScanJet G3010. Everything is in place, and it
will scan, but I have to push the scanner button, as I cannot find the
program on the system to use an icon off the desktop (actually, I'm still
finding my way around the system). It also will not copy using the copy
button. Any ideas? I have two HP printers, one of them quite old also, and
they are working with Vista. I copy more than I scan, so I'd appreciate a
suggestion. Thanks. CT

Click File in Windows Photo Gallery, then click Import from Camera or
Scanner.

If Windows Photo Gallery isn't on the Start menu, you'll find it on the All
Programs menu. Or press the Windows key, type pho and press Enter or click
Windows Photo Gallery.
