Default WMDC sync with ipac on Vista

Have been reading posts in newsgroups for several days now sync using the
Mobile Device Centre. By using some of the advice given I may, or may not,
have nearly solved it - so near yet so far!

The WMDC and Sync Centre are recognizing my ipac 1940 and it actually
syncing. But where to I'm not sure! On XP I used ActiveSync with Outlook
2000. I have Outlook 2000 installed on my new Vista PC, but in the WMDC,
under 'Change Content Sync Settings', where it says 'Contacts' it wont let me
check this box or any of the others and a mouse message comes up saying
'Outlook is not installed'. in fact I would prefer it to sync with Works but
that seems to make the WMDC not run.
(had to do a system restore to make it run again)

Another 2 choices have come up for 'Contacts' and 'Appointments', which I
can check but I don't know which application this is syncing in. Very
confusing.

I'm hoping that some of you brilliant tech people will have some advice. If
you do, thanks. You are always so helpful on these forums.

Di.
