don't hold your breath

ATI blames Microsoft, Microsoft blames ATI - you know the drill
Pony up for a new card, never mind that your "old" one is still being sold
and on store shelves -right now-.
There's $ to be made.

It isn't that they -can't- release working drivers, they just choose NOT to.

What card is it? If it's the older one with the 200 chip there's a
workaround that I've had luck with.

http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?p=1334691881

It worked for me on an old 9000 series card (or was it an 8500) Radeon AIW.
Tuner works great.

Confirmed - works here as well on an AIW 2006 PCI Express
you're just gonna have to google for the file outlined in the instructions
(ati_LH_RC0_32.exe) but it IS out there.

Makes you wonder doesn't it?
Obviously there isn't anything extraordinary in the OS preventing these
tuners from functioning, and obviously with the right drivers the tuners
WILL work, so it is just all about money then.... isn't it?

Glad it worked for you John.

As to the other, sometimes I think it's just ignorance on ATIs side. They
should know about these tweaks before we do. Maybe they do and just don't
want to deal with support for users that try it and don't get it to work.
Maybe they're waiting to see how many copies of Vista sold in the first
month (allocation of resources and all that). It's been my experience that
drivers are very much an after-thought with many hardware vendors (of
course, ATI Catalyst drivers have their own history).
