Won't Burn Data Discs...
I have a new Gateway GM5415E w/a DVD Burner (supposedly a multi-format DL
drive). I can burn music (wmas) using Windows Media Player; however, when I try to burn documents or other data to the same brand of CD-R it simply ejects the CD and says: "There was an error burning this disc." I've tried Windows Burn Wizard (gave me the previous explanation) & Nero (also unsuccessful) I've tried other CD-Rs in the stack & I know they work because it burns music files. Is anyone able to help?! When I check the DVD-RW Drive's properties it's named... ATAPI DVD W DH16W1P ATA Device (is there an 'R' missing from RW... does this matter?) And yes, the driver is up-to-date! Please HELP! |
