aero gone!!!
when I first installed Vista Home Premium I was running a 128Mb Geforce
6600GT PCIx video card. Aero was happening and everything was fine and dandy. However after upgrading to a 640Mb Geforce 8800GTS the Aero interface has disappeared completely. I have installed the 100.25 nvidia drivers. Is there any way of getting the interface back without reinstalling? |

There is a beta version 101.41 of the nVidia drivers on their Beta drivers page.
I believe that it is supposed to have improved support for the 8800 cards. The official nVidia driver is ver. 100.65 (or 1.4.1.11, depending on
which number you loom at.) They have a Beta version for Vista that is ver. 101.41 but it caused more problems for me that it fixed, so I went back to the official release. Both vversions are available at the nVidia website. -- Birk Binnard http://www.birkbinnard.com |
