How to select Favorites in Windows Explorer
In any Windows Explorer Window, dragging the icon in the address bar to your
Desktop will create a shortcut to that address. You can also right-click a folder, and choose Send To Desktop (create shortcut). Too, if you enable the Navigation Pane in Windows Explorer to always be shown (Organize Layout Navigation Pane), you can create your own shortcuts under Favorite Links, at the top of the Pane, by adding the shortcut to C:\Users\(Your Name)\Links.
