Even after changing video cards i seem to have what the best i can discribe
as screen coruption at least 2 to 3 times a day.

every open item on the task bar become unreadable garbage, all piled on top
of each other by the windows logo button.

If i press the windows logo button on the taskbar i can see the no items on
the start menu but can see the out line of the start menu areo stye.

As i mentioned i have changed graphics cards from Nvidia to ATI thinking it
would fix the horible problems but it has not.

System hardware
Mainboard MSI K8N NEO4
AMD x64 dual core 2.2Ghz
1.5 gigs of memory
ati x1550 with 512 memory
segate sata 250 gig hdd
Windows Vista Enterprise.

Any suggestions? Next time this happens it will printscreen it and post it
Thanks.

Vista_Enterprise_User,

Did you download and install the most recent Vista ATI graphics card drivers
for your video card? If not, you should do that.

Hello,

I've got this problem as well. Running catalyst 7.14 (4/18/2007) on an x1600.

Even though it is random, when it happens I'll have at least the following
two programs running:

Visual Studio 2005 /w all current updates
VMWare 6 - release version

Here is a screenshot:
