Default Partioning External Hard Drive using Vista

Hi,
I just got a new computer with Vista on it. I am trying to make a partition
bigger in my External Hard Drive, (when I first got it, I didn't think out
drive size very well at all). I have gone through the Computer Manager, and
when I try to use the unallocated space to Extend the drive I want to, I
first get a message that says the operation I selected will convert the
selected basic disk to dynamic disks. I click YES that I want to continue
and then I get an error message that says: The attempted operation is
invalid. Either the parameters specified are invalid or the operation cannot
be completed on the selected object.

Can anyone PLEASE help me extend my partition on my External Drive.

Thanks!

yoohoo422,

Take a look at this site to decide whether you're missing something:

Who knows, it could be something very simple. Just something to try. Let
us know how this turns out.
