CPU showing wrong speed on vista
Hi here´s the deal i have a Core2 duo 6600 CPU it should work at 2.4 ghz and
vista is telling me it works 900mhz, because of that i cannot play halo 2 because of low cpu speed it doens even install. i have an Abit ADW9 chipset intel 975X Pls help |

change your power setting to High Performance.

CPU showing wrong speed on vista
Make certain that the FSB (front side bus)speed in the bios is correct for
your installed hardware. On my board an improper startup can revert the FSB speed to it's default settings. This will make the CPU run a lot slower.
