James,

In Device Manager, printers are displayed under View Show hidden devices,
if the printers are installed. The Device Manager standard view does not
display printers. Manage printers from Control Panel Printers, as the
previous poster indicated.

James,

In Device Manager, I don't know why printers don't display under View Show
hidden devices. Do printers show up in Control Panel Printers? If they do,
and they are working properly, then I see no reason to be concerned. Maybe
someone else has an explanation. I don't.

You're welcome.

You should really do all your printer management with Control Panel Printers.
I don't think there is much you can do in Device Manager.

Alternately you can run the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties and select
Customize, then scroll down to Printers and tick it. Now it will behave as
it did iin Windows XP with a Printers group on your Start Menu.
